Mischief Managed while Waiting on a Miracle
You can correctly infer from the title that I am both a Harry Potter and a Disney fan :)
Hi, I'm Jen, I'm usually lurking about. I think I met Allie somewhere around 2008/2009? We just clicked instantly and have the kind of friendship where we simply pick up where we left off each time we are able to reunite. I'm happy to be a part of the journey!
Anyway, I'm a very (poor) new artist, having never graduated from stick figures. They say "practice makes perfect" but I use every excuse to avoid my craft room. This morning I managed to procrastinate my Zebra Remedies time by squeezing in some watercoloring, and Allie's a huge cheerleader, so my current project is to create enough thank you/welcome/hi greeting cards that I can include one in each Subscription Box we're working towards.
So here's progress of me working on some prototypes. My English Springer Spaniel, Merlin, says hello (he's never far from me). Do you have other ideas you'd like to share- perhaps you'd use different colors or techniques? Let me know!
It didn't take long for me to realize that my rainbow splash was pretty, but made for lousy readability. Coloring the letters first seemed to be the best approach (top right). This is why I decided that I'd need to figure out a way to improve legibility, and opted to use my silver glitter pen, only to change my mind and go with gold for the last two. Perhaps once I finally get the craft room cleaned up, I'll share my crafting space.
So please excuse me, but We Don't Talk About Bruno just rolled up in my playlist, and I must go sing loudly in the garage 😂🤣
